Rage expandable Three-Blade 100-grain Broadheads with the exclusive ShockLock™ System will revolutionize the way archers think about expandable arrowheads. Unlike most expandables that begin flight with the blades swept forward and deploy them "over-the-top" on initial impact, Rage broadheads start flight with the three .030 stainless steel blades swept back. This allows them to be fully deployed in the millisecond between tip contact and blade contact, resulting in devastating entry-wound diameter. While other kinds of over-the-top expandables are still in the process of blade deployment as the arrow penetrates the hide, Rage broadhead blades are fully expanded from the moment they enter game. The result is entry wounds up to twice the diameter of conventional fixed-blade and other expandable broadheads. What's more, Rage's ShockLock System is rubber-band-free. An internal locking system holds the blades back until impact, when it instantly deploys them. This system also uses an O-ring shock absorber to help absorb impact and maintain performance should the broadhead hit bone. Another benefit of Rage expandables is that the design inherently minimizes deflection. Over-the-top expandables can sometimes throw the head line off on angled shots when an inside blade, in the process of deploying, grabs the hide first. Rage's cut-on-contact tip has already cleared the way for the rear blades as the arrow enters game so that there is no reduction of kinetic energy that can result from an irregular entry angle.
